Volunteer as a tutor

We are looking for dynamic volunteers to tutor in two areas:

1. We offer one-on-one tutoring for adults seeking to improve their reading, writing and numeracy skills.
2. Thanks to a generous grant from Gildan, we have expanded our School Literacy Program where we match volunteer tutors with high school students who are reading and writing below grade level.

No teaching experience required as training is provided. Please call 514-694-0007 to get your name on the list for the next tutor training.

Become a member of the Board of Directors

Literacy Unlimited is looking for volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors with the following capabilities:

• Interpersonal and leadership skills; time and energy to take on various responsibilities as a Board Member and/or
• Public speaking capabilities; time to prepare and give presentations about the organization to Companies as part of our corporate fundraising objectives.

Promote Ticket Sales

We often have raffles to raise important funds so if you are a keen sales person, we’d love to have you on our team. We also welcome prize donations.

General Administration

Join our telephone committee, help out in the office, assist with mailings, or work in our library.
