BOARD OF DIRECTORS Lesley is Director of Strategy and Business Development with Bombardier. Prior this, she worked as an Engineering Consultant for industrial and commercial customers. Lesley joined the Board in October 2007.
Lesley Antoun, PresidentPatricia is retired from a career in social work and social service management and has been a volunteer with Literacy Unlimited since 1998. Patricia joined the Board in March 2005.
Patricia Bratley, SecretaryCliff is a chartered accountant (CA). He presently works at FBBL, a Montreal-based accounting firm recognized for exceptional work in the areas of assurance, taxation and business advisory services for private and public companies, family-owned businesses and not-for-profit clients. Cliff joined the Board in March 2010.
Cliff Latincic, DirectorMargaret is a retired nurse and a long-time volunteer. She has held many positions in the Girl Guides of Canada, is past-president of The Inner Wheel Club of Montreal, and a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels and Christmas Park School library. Margaret joined the Board in November 2005.
Margaret Martin, DirectorLaura is the President and General Manager of Osprey Pharmaceuticals. She has occupied different management and R&D positions in biotechnology and medical device companies, specializing in early phase product development. She holds a PhD from the University of Manitoba and joined the Board in March 2010.
Laura McIntosh, DirectorWalter is a Senior Corporate Strategy Advisor with Desjardins General Insurance Group. He has over 10 years business experience working for large, medium and small companies. The last five years have been focused on strategic planning and execution. He holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Concordia University and an MBA from the John Molson School of Business. Walter joined the Board in April 2010.
Walter Rondina, Director Benoît is the president of BeRose Inc., a public accounting firm. Prior to this, he worked in sales and information technology and at one point was a division controller. Benoît is a certified general accountant (CGA) and holds a bachelor degree from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) in Montreal. Benoît joined the Board in April 2008.
Benoît Rose, Treasurer Suzanne owns and operates DeterminAction Inc. which provides business consultancy services and MIKISUe Inc., a design and distribution company of unique and unusual products. Prior to this, Suzanne had a successful career in business consulting, as well as in the travel management services industry. Suzanne joined the Board in April 2009.
Suzanne Savoie, DirectorAnn is the president of IBT Canada/Caribbean, part of an international network of consulting offices dedicated to Coaching People to Work Smarter. Ann has worked in sales, marketing and planning for Canadian companies active in the paper, food, pharmaceutical and personal care industries. Ann joined the Board in March 2006.
Ann Searles, Vice-PresidentStephanie is a retired nurse with many years of volunteer experience in the public school system. She has served on school-governing boards and committees advocating for families. She is a Literacy Unlimited tutor for adults and is also involved in the School Literacy Program. She is guided in her volunteer work by her desire to make a difference in "building a better community." Stephanie joined the Board in February 2009.
Stephanie Trenholm, DirectorADVISORS TO THE BOARD Stephan works for Air Canada, managing Innovations for the Human Relations Department. He is involved in Kids Horizons and Dreams Take Flight and fundraising events such as the Hotel-Dieu Foundation for the severely burned unit and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Stephan is a previous Director of the Board which he joined in January 2007.
Stephan Séguin, AdvisorRichard holds a mechanical engineering degree from the U.K. and spent 35 years in the Aeronautical Industry. Prior to his retirement, he was Vice-President of Engineering for Rolls-Royce Canada Limited. He has served on numerous Boards, including Volunteer West Island. Richard is Past-President of the Board which he joined in November 2000.
Richard Yates, AdvisorHONORARY BOARD MEMBER James is a Regional Director of Freedom 55 Financial and Branch Director of Quadrus Investments Inc., both divisions of the London Life Insurance Company. He is a graduate of Sir George Williams University, a Certified Financial Planner, and a Chartered Life Underwriter. He is a past co-chairperson of the Quebec Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Medic Alert Campaign for Quebec. James has been an active member of the AIESEC McGill Board of Advisors for over 30 years and AIESEC Canada for 15 years. He is currently involved in numerous local charity fundraising events and sits on the Board of Directors of several companies.
James Orr, Honorary Member Literacy Unlimited is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of individuals from the community which we serve. Each member brings unique skills, experience and diversity to enhance the governance of the organization. The Board of Directors upholds the Mission and drives the organization by establishing goals, setting policies and providing effective organizational planning. The Board ensures adequate human and financial resources, maintains legal and ethical accountability, monitors programs and services, provides support and direction to the Executive Director and oversees general operations.
