Board of Directors Lesley Antoun is Director of Strategy and Business Development with Bombardier. Prior to her career with Bombardier, she worked as an Engineering Consultant for industrial and commercial customers. Lesley joined the Board in October 2007.

Pat Bratley, SecretaryMargaret Martin is a retired nurse and joined the Board in November 2005. She is a long-time time volunteer and has held many positions in the Girl Guides of Canada. She is past-president of The Inner Wheel Club of Montreal and a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels and Christmas Park School library.
Margaret Martin, DirectorBenoît Rose Benoît joined the Board in April 2008. Presently, he is the president of BeRose Inc., a public accounting firm. Prior to that, Benoît has worked in sales and in information technology and at one point was a division controller. Benoît is a certified general accountant (CGA) and holds a bachelor degree from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) in Montreal.
Benoît Rose, Treasurer Suzanne Savoie owns and operates DeterminAction Inc. which provides business consultancy services and MIKISUe Inc., a design and distribution company of unique and unusual products. Prior to this, Suzanne had a successful career in business consulting, as well as in the travel management services industry. Suzanne joined the Board in April 2009.
Suzanne Savoie, DirectorStephan Séguin works for Air Canada and has been involved in Kids Horizons and Dreams Take Flight. He has occupied different management positions and is currently managing Innovations for the Human Resources Department. Stephan is involved in fund raising events such as the Hotel-Dieu Foundation for the severely burned unit and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Stephan joined the Board in January 2007.
Stephan Séguin, AdvisorAnn Searles is the president of IBT Canada/Caribbean, part of an international network of consulting offices dedicated to Coaching People to Work Smarter. Ann has worked in sales, marketing and planning for Canadian companies active in the paper, food, pharmaceutical and personal care industries. Ann joined the Board in March 2006.
Ann Searles, Vice-PresidentStephanie Trenholm is a retired nurse with many years of volunteer experience in the public school system. She has served on school governing boards and committees advocating for families. She joined LU in 2008 as a tutor for adults and is also involved in the School Literacy Program.
Stephanie Trenholm, DirectorRichard Yates joined the Board in November 2000. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from the UK and spent 35 years in the Aeronautical Industry. Prior to retirement he was Vice President Engineering for Rolls-Royce Canada Limited. He has served on numerous Boards, including Volunteer West Island.
Richard Yates, Past-President and AdvisorJames Orr is currently a Regional Director of Freedom 55 Financial and Branch Director of Quadrus Investments Inc, both divisions of the London Life Insurance Company with whom he has been associated for more than 35 years.
James Orr, Honorary Member James is a graduate of Sir George Williams University, a Certified Financial Planner, and a Chartered Life Underwriter. He is a past co-chairperson of the Quebec Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Medic Alert Campaign for Quebec. He has been an active member of the AIESEC McGill Board of Advisors for over 30 years and AIESEC Canada for 15 years. He is currently involved in numerous local charity fund raising events and sits on the board of directors of several companies. Literacy Unlimited is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of individuals from the community which we serve. Each member brings unique skills, experience and diversity to enhance the governance of the organization. The Board of Directors upholds the Mission and drives the organization by establishing goals, setting policies and providing effective organizational planning. The Board ensures adequate human and financial resources, maintains legal and ethical accountability, monitors programs and services, provides support and direction to the Executive Director and oversees general operations.
