Title: |
Enter the first word or words of the title.
Do not use "the" "an" or "a".
If you know the series of the item, you can enter it in this field.
eg. Check and double check

Author: |
First enter the family name (or as much of it as you know)
eg. "smi" will bring up "Smith" as well as "Goldsmith".
If you know the author's first name you can enter it after the family name.
eg."Laubach" will bring up items from "Laubach Literacy" as well as
"Laubach, Frank" and "Laubach, Robert". Entering "Laubach, Robert"
will bring up any those items where he is the author. |

Enter a subject which you are interested in. Be as specific as possible.

This is the code or the label on the item. It starts with the section that the item is in. eg."PHO", "TUT".
Entering this will bring up all items in that sections. |

ISBN: |
This is the international standard book number and only useful if you are searching for a specific item.

Publisher: |
Enter the proper name of the publiser, er. "Gatehouse" will bring up all items published by Gatehouse Books.
"Scholastic" will bring up "Scholastic" as well as "Scholastic Canada", ScholasticProfessional Books" and "Scholastic book services"

- Do not worry about using capital letters.
- Do not use the right hand checkboxes unless you want a very specific item from the field.
eg. Using a checkmark when searching "Smith" in the author field will not bring up "Goldsmith" nor "Smithe". |
