Mission: Literacy Unlimited is a community organization dedicated to changing lives through improved adult literacy.
Lucy Baum, Executive Director
Lucy holds a degree in Psychology and has over 15 years experience in marketing and business. She has devoted the last 7 years to working in the non-profit sector, raising her family, and developing a second career as a professional photographer. She believes in business with a heart and in the power of human connections.
Alice Reed, Social Media Coordinator
Alice comes from a manufacturing (Nortel Networks) and pharmaceutical (Novartis) background, where her roles included administration and event planning. She considers herself a late bloomer as she was 50 years old when she graduated from Concordia University (BA in Communications and Human Relations). Alice has been with Literacy Unlimited for over 10 years and believes that it’s never too late to learn!
Stephanie Lehner, Program Director
Stephanie holds a Masters degree in International Education and has worked in the education sector in Europe, Africa and North America for over 20 years. She has seen how education and literacy have the power to truly transform lives and is excited to be part of the Literacy Unlimited team. Outside the office, Stephanie enjoys reading, walking in the woods and spending time with her family and friends.
Tracey holds a Graduate Degree in Business from John Molson School of Business at Concordia University. For the past 18 years she has been working in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently in the patient support program domain. Tracey has grown up and lived in the West Island most of her life and is passionate about helping others and getting involved in the West Island community. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, skiing, traveling, and spending time with her two young children.
Debora Bringolf, Administrative Assistant
After completing her degree in Finance and working as an Investment Adviser for 15 years, Debora decided to stay home to raise her two daughters. During that time, she helped her husband start a promotional products business, and volunteered in various capacities, which included tutoring for Literacy Unlimited. She loves spending her free time near a pool, lake or ocean, enjoying the calming effects of water.
Dalia Kudzma, Administrative Clerk
Dalia holds a degree in Sociology as well as a Bachelor of Education. She worked as a high school librarian, then as a teacher. For the last 23 years, she was the Regional Director of the Heart and Stroke Foundation in the West Island area. Having recently retired, she enjoys working part-time, babysitting her grandchildren, playing tennis and is a member of a hiking club.
Christine Rowczenia, Bookeeper
Chris started her career in finance and administration at Hershey Canada Inc. While working there, she went back to school and attained a BA in Administration. When she retired after 34 years of service she had reached the position of Plant Controller. Chris has been a volunteer with Literacy Unlimited for over 15 years, first as Treasurer on the Board of Directors and then bookkeeping for the organization. She joined the staff in April 2019.
